The non-financial risks of overseas investment have become higher as China’s overseas investment in unstable countries significantly increased. How can listed companies, regulators, investors and other stakeholders mitigate the risks? China SIF invited Mr Gavin Hayman, director of the NGO Global Witness, and Ms Li Li, deputy Director of China Research Center for Technical Barriers to Trade, to share their ideas on how to achieve sustainable development overseas by improving disclosure and transparency, and obtaining the social license to operate.
